Twilight

The shadows fall grey on the melting of day

I ponder on moments that passed my way

Did I meet someone new and shake their hand

or gaze as the wind sculpted the sand

As the sun hides its head for another nights rest

and the wind sings its same old song

The twilight will come to the days in this life

and those days seem not very long

I watch and wait for the daylight

to splash its twinkling of colors abound

To give birth once again with the beautiful sounds

of the new life dawn all around

Passed so many days I hurried away

not understanding how quickly they flee

I sit and wait for one chance to

see the dawn fall once again on me.
